Undoubtedly South African's biggest current hardcore band, Bloodline Ltd's 'This Is Our Way' released in 2008 brings South African hardcore to a new level.
One is able to distincly identify the bands primary influences such as Madball, Terror and Hatebreed. Favourite tracks on the album were probably Traitor (track 10) and Fists Raised (track 4), Fists Raised is definitely the catchiest song on the album with the chorus- "Fists raised, fists raised, this is our way, our life, our scene, this is our family" always being backed up by the fans at live shows.
One is also able to hear the passion and dedication of hardcore throughout the album, with lyrics often referring to protecting the hardcore scene. The album is pure aggression and definitely not for those who are expecting something melodic, but if you're looking for a local band that parallels such greats as Madball and Terror then this is your best bet.
